 Visual Cylinder Inspection (VCI) Minimize

It’s The Law - 49 CFR 172.200

Visual Inspector Training is required to be conducted every three years and within 90 days of hire and shall include the following:

General awareness/familiarization training
    Function-Specific training
Safety training concerning - Emergency response, measures to protect employees, method and procedures for avoiding accidents and safe handling procedures.

The PSI inspector program trains technicians to inspect most 3A, 3AA, 3AL, special permit and composite high-pressure cylinders.  Various entities put special names to those cylinders.  Some people call them SCUBA, SCBA, medical cylinders, paintball cylinders, CO2 (beverage cylinders) and many other names.  Our training in general covers them all.

PSI, Inc cylinder inspector training as well as our other classes for fill station operators and HAZMAT compliance, are the gas industry standard for cylinder safety.  The cost of cylinder safety training is trivial compared to the cost of defending one’s position of experiences is good enough.  Cylinder inspectors and handlers are not defendable without formal, industry recognized training.
